Villa team news vs Fulham as Emery makes four changes and Onana missing

He has made four changes from the side that beat Sunderland 4-3 last weekend, as Pau Torres, Lucas Digne, Lamare Bogarde and Emi Buendia come into the team.

Emi Martinez starts in goal, behind a defence of Matty Cash, Ezri Konsa, Torres, and Digne.

Youri Tielemans and Bogarde will operate in a double pivot, while John McGinn, Buendia, and Morgan Rogers support striker Ollie Watkins.

Amadou Onana has not been named in the matchday squad due to injury.

Having lost just two of their first 13 Premier League home games against Villa, Fulham have now lost three of their last four against them at Craven Cottage.

Seven of Fulham’s last eight Premier League wins have come against sides who started the day in the bottom half of the league. They’ve won just one of their last nine against teams starting in the top half.

Villa, meanwhile, have won one of their last seven away Premier League games and are winless in four. They last had a longer winless run on the road in November/December 2024.
