Club Brugge vs Aston Villa live match updates from Champions League clash

Unai Emery’s side have drawn one of their opening three matches, losing the other two against Brighton and Arsenal before playing out a stalemate in Hull on Saturday night.

Villa have played at the Jan Breydelstadion twice in the last two years, having also faced Brugge away in the league phase of the 2024/25 Champions League before then beating them in the round of 16.

Brugge have won four of their first five matches so far this season, despite losing Christos Tzolis and Raphael Onyedika in the transfer window, while Joel Ordonez is sidelined with an injury.

After facing Brugge, Villa will play back-to-back league phase matches at home against Fenerbahçe and Viking next month.
