Youri Tielemans releases emotional Aston Villa message after Man United transfer

Youri Tielemans has released an emotional goodbye video to Aston Villa's staff, teammates and fans.

The Belgian completed his move to Manchester United earlier this week after the Red Devils activated his £35 million release clause.

Tielemans, who helped Villa win the Europa League last season, has now taken to Instagram to bid farewell to the club and send his best wishes.

“There are moments in football that are harder than any match you will ever play. Saying goodbye is one of them,” he said.

“From the first day that I arrived at Aston Villa, I felt welcomed. Wearing the Villa shirt has been a privilege. Together we shared unforgettable moments. I want to thank all of you.

“All the people that worked tirelessly to make Aston Villa such a special club. Most of all, thank you to the supporters.

“You never asked for perfection, only commitment, honesty and heart. I hope I gave you exactly that every time that I wore the Villa badge.

“The club will always have a special place in my heart. A part of my heart will always belong at Villa Park. And for one last time, Up the Villa”
