JUNIOR Kroupi and David Brooks did not have enough training time to feature in the Cherries’ opening pre-season friendly against St Pauli.

Both have been carrying some fatigue, it is understood, and so have missed the odd session while out in Austria on Bournemouth’s pre-season training camp.

Both were in the squad for the game but were unused substitutes at the Saalfelden Arena in the Austrian Alps.

It is hoped that they will be available for the club’s next friendly vs Augsburg next Thursday, again in Saalfelden.

Explaining why the pair were absent, Cherries boss Marco Rose told the Daily Echo: “Yes, they didn't have enough training time to be here, so we're going to see next game.

"But for today, they were out.”
