Carl Rushworth has been told to keep the blinkers on and target the Championship title before thinking about his future.
But the Albion goalkeeper's agent has admitted the player would love a stable home rather than loan deals.
Rushworth is impressing for Coventry City as they set the pace in the second tier.
He has previously been a loan ranger at Worthing, Walsall, Lincoln City, Swansea City and Hull City.
Albion are heading towards an interesting summer in the goalkeeping department as Rushworth and James Beadle complete loan stints and Bart Verbruggen is intermittently linked with interest from clubs including Bayern, Manchester United and Barcelona.
Speaking at Cheltenham racecourse, Rushworth’s agent Stephen Hunt, the former Reading winger, said: “Let’s be straight. He is having a great time at Coventry.
“You go to a stable yard, you fall in love and you get settled. He feels settled at Coventry.
“He has got a couple of years on his contract at Brighton, granted, but he has had four or five loans now
“I think that has been crucial for his development but it is has been very to hard to call it home in terms of how he has felt about the place.”
Hunt, a keen race-goer, says Rushworth has relished his time in the Midlands.

He told TalkSPORT: “I suppose my ‘grade one horse’ is Carl Rushworth at the moment, who is playing really well at Coventry, really enjoying his time.
“Frank (Lampard) has done an amazing job with the whole team, not just Carl.
“It has been a hell of a journey for them so far. They have still got ten games to go.
“As I keep saying to Carl, the blinkers are on and keep going.”
