Jack Hinshelwood says Albion have something special going on behind the scenes.

And it has helped set them up for a potentially exciting end to the season.

Hinshelwood scored in the 3-0 win over Chelsea which sent the Seagulls into sixth place in the Premier League.

They have taken 19 points from a possible 24 since a tactical re-think which saw the now 21-year-old move into a No.10 role.

Fabian Hurzeler has spoken about the “social bond” among the players and Hinshelwood believes it is a big part of their recent run.

He told The Argus: “I don't know if every changing room is like this in England but I've obviously only experienced this one and it's a special place.

“You really look forward to coming to work and just being with your team-mates.

“We all have such a good relationship and I think that can only help on the pitch.

“If someone's missing a tackle, you know the next person's behind you.

“I think you saw the togetherness within that performance (versus Chelsea) and it is something we are going to need going forward.”

Hinshelwood said the togetherness was about more than just getting on well at training.

He added: “We've all been doing a bit of darts lately.

“We've gone out to play some darts and we've had some team bonding events like that.”

Head coach Hurzeler said: “What is so crucial for the success of a team is, I would say, a connection.

“How you build a connection is you bring, not the players, you bring the persons together.

“You make them feel connected by creating a social bond and how you create it is just by experiencing the things we experienced.

“And we experienced a tough period.

“Tough periods bring you together. It’s the same as I mentioned with the fans.

“Secondly, they create a social bond by spending time together.

“That is something very natural and not artificial.

“I don’t have to push them that they spend time together.”

Hinshelwood will be at Worthing today as his dad Adam’s side look to secure the National League south title.

Rebels will go up if they win at home high-flying Ebbsfleet and will secure the title and promotion regardless if second-placed Hornchurch drop points.
