'Thank you' - Armstrong pens farewell message to City after Göztepe move

The Robins confirmed on Wednesday evening that Armstrong had departed south Bristol on a permanent basis, with the forward set to officially join Turkish Süper Lig side Göztepe - after two years at Ashton Gate - when the summer transfer window opens later this month.

Having joined the ranks in south Bristol from Queens Park Rangers two summers ago, the Ireland international was never quite able to realise his potential on a consistent basis in red and white. He departs the West Country having scored seven goals in 83 appearances in all competitions.
