An early long-range strike from Sam Morsy gave the Reds a well-deserved lead at the break, but the game was turned completely on its head in the second half.

A 24-minute hat-trick from Mohamed Toure and a header from Jose Cordoba saw the Canaries score four goals after the break, before Sam Bell struck home a late consolation goal for the Robins in second-half injury time.

The loss and results elsewhere in England’s second tier mean the Robins remain 10th in the Championship table - with the play-offs now mathematically out of reach - ahead of their trip to the south coast on Tuesday evening, where they will take on promotion-hopefuls Southampton.
