Tottenham have bought Tosin Adarabioyo from Chelsea for an initial fee of £10m and signed Mykhailo Mudryk on a season-long loan.

Adarabioyo, 28, joined Chelsea on a free transfer from local rivals Fulham in June 2024, starting 50 games and scoring seven goals from a total of 70 appearances.

Spurs sporting director Johan Lange told the club website: “Tosin is an excellent addition to our squad, bringing a wealth of experience, leadership and quality to our central defensive options.

“Throughout our conversations with Tosin, it was clear how motivated he is, and how he understands the standards and expectations here.

“We are delighted to have secured his signature and look forward to seeing him make a significant contribution both on and off the pitch.”

Chelsea recently rejected an approach from Leeds for Ukraine winger Mudryk.

Mudryk, 25, returned to action this summer after serving a 20-month suspension following a positive test for the prohibited substance meldonium.

His ban was lifted in July, allowing him to feature during Chelsea’s pre-season preparations.

Mudryk told the Tottenham website: “It’s a great feeling and I’m so excited to be reunited with Roberto de Zerbi.

“I’m a player who brings speed and creativity, and I want to help in both the offensive and defensive areas. I want to make the fans excited.”

Head coach De Zerbi added: “I know exactly what Misha can bring to our team.

“He has the quality to change a game with his speed and ability in one-vs-one situations, and is an exciting, attacking talent.

“I will demand a lot from Misha and it is our job to help him find the best version of himself. If we do that then he can become a very important player for us.”
