Palace come from behind to beat Fulham - West London Sport

Ben Chilwell struck a 77th-minute winner as Crystal Palace came from behind twice to beat Fulham at Craven Cottage, leaving Alvaro Arbeloa still waiting for his first point as Whites boss.

Josh King put the hosts ahead inside 11 minutes, latching onto Oscar Bobb’s cutback and driving forward before his deflected effort beat keeper Dean Henderson.

Palace levelled through a goal involving Daichi Kamada and Eddie Nketiah, whose build-up play sent Tyrick Mitchell through to fire past Bernd Leno at his near post on 36 minutes, before César Palacios restored Fulham’s lead on 42 minutes after Henderson had somehow kept out a Gonzalo García effort.

Palace hit back again just after the hour when Mitchell’s mishit shot squirmed home off a badly-judged clearance attempt from Joachim Andersen on the goal line. Fulham failed to deal with a second-half scramble in their own box, allowing substitute Chilwell the simplest of finishes into an empty net to complete the turnaround.

Fulham pushed hard for an equaliser in the closing stages — Henderson parried a long-range effort that Ryan Sessegnon then curled narrowly wide, and Rodrigo Muniz blazed over from close range with two minutes remaining — but couldn’t find a way back, extending their winless start to the league season.
