Hull City are understood to be monitoring the situation with experienced striker Callum Wilson, as the Tigers look to bolster their ranks ahead of their first Premier League season in a decade.
Wilson looks set to leave West Ham United following their relegation to the Championship, and City are considering making a move for the 34-year-old ex-England forward who would be available on a free transfer.
The former Newcastle United and Bournemouth frontman has 95 top-flight goals to his name across 271 appearances, and netted seven times for the Hammers in their doomed campaign.
City expect to make around 10 new signings over the coming weeks, and are keen to add a mixture of youth and experience to Sergej Jakirovic's squad, especially up front to help ease the burden on Oli McBurnie and Kyle Joseph, who plundered 40 goals and assists between them to help fire the Tigers to promotion.

Coventry-born Wilson could have left the Olympic Stadium in January for a fee, but West Ham decided to keep the frontman in a bid to help their survival bid. He started just three games in the final weeks. No deal has been agreed, and the Tigers expect to face competition from elsewhere should they decide to push ahead with concrete discussions.
"It hurts. We have failed as a team and definitely fallen short of everyone’s expectations," Wilson penned on social media after West Ham's dismal relegation was confirmed. "It was well documented that I had a history with West Ham, yet from the moment I arrived, I felt nothing but welcomed by all the fans here.
"I felt really good and positive coming into this season, and I believe I could have contributed more given the opportunity. As you could see, my time on the pitch was very limited at times, but that was out of my control. I’ve always trained hard, kept my integrity, and given my all whenever I’ve been allowed to wear the iconic Claret and Blue shirt.
"For now, all I can say is thank you. Thank you to everyone who supported us. Your passion is amazing, and I truly hope you return to the Premier League, where you belong, as soon as possible. Take care, Callum."
