Young Town duo join history-making non-league side on loan

The duo came on as second half substitutes for the Acorns as they were beaten 3-0 at Tilbury in the Isthmian League North Division .

Paul Phelan's side won the Essex Senior League title in 2025/26 last season, gaining promotion to Step 4 for the first time in their history. They currently sitting tenth in the table after the opening five league games.

Brown, who can play centre-back and left-back, is a second year scholar at Town, having become a full academy player in the summer of 2025.

The 17-year-old spent time out on loan with White Ensign at Step 5 last season.

Burton-Yurevich, who is a forward, is also a second year scholar at Playford Road and gained senior experience on loan in 2025/26, with Suffolk non-league outfit Woodbridge Town.

The 17-year-old has enjoyed a goalscoring start to 2026/27, having notched three goals in his last three games for Town's U18s side.
