What Daniel Farke said on possibly Leeds United coping without Calvert-Lewin

Leeds Live · Isaac Johnson

Social media users have been praying that speculation that Dominic Calvert-Lewin has picked up an injury is untrue. The striker managed to complete the full game against Manchester United on Sunday. Leeds only have two natural centre-forward options in the squad after not acquiring a new addition in the department before deadline day; Lukas Nmecha the sole back-up for Calvert-Lewin.

All the while, Leeds will be hooing to end their three-game winless run away at bottom club Sunderland, who travelled to Poland on Thursday in their Europa League tie. Of course, context matters and Leeds have played two of last year's top three over the past fortnight. But a win is still needed before long.

Follow what Daniel Farke has to say ahead of Sunderland in our live press conference blog below.
