Winks in heated argument after Leicester City squad take criticism from stands

A handful of City players stopped to talk with supporters near the team bus following the 1-0 defeat on the south coast that leaves them on the verge of relegation to League One.

But in a clip that has since gone viral on social media, Winks was seen arguing with spectators, with expletives used, as a staff member encouraged him to get onto City’s bus.

Sky broadcasts more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more with at least 215 live from the top flight alongside Formula 1, darts and golf.

“The fans will feel how they feel,” manager Gary Rowett said. “Of course they’re going to be disappointed with the players and are going to be disappointed over a period of time. I get that, they understand that.

“The players were trying to show their appreciation. I know it never feels easy in those moments to go and applaud the fans and for the fans to feel how they feel. I get it.

“There was a lot of frustration around and ultimately the only way to change that.”

City are now eight points adrift of safety with three games to play. They will be relegated if they fail to beat Hull on Tuesday evening.

But even with a victory they could be relegated before playing again, if West Brom beat Watford on Tuesday evening and Blackburn get three points against Sheffield United on Wednesday.

City’s best chance of staying up is to win all three matches, and hope that Blackburn fail to beat Sheffield United and that Oxford lose one of their final three games.
