David Moyes' side travel to Preston - with kick-off at 8pm this evening - looking to progress to the third round for the 25th season in a row. The last time the Toffees failed to reach that stage of the competition was back in 2001, when they were beaten by Crystal Palace on penalties.

Should Everton progress, they will be ball No.30 in the third-round draw, which is scheduled to take place immediately after the Toffees' trip to Preston at approximately 10:15pm.

Also in the hat are Liverpool, who are No.7 and enter the draw alongside the eight other Premier League sides in European competition this season. Andoni Iraola's side are joined by Manchester United, Manchester City, Sunderland, Brighton, Crystal Palace, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Bournemouth in the hat.
