Aston Villa vs Man City LIVE score and goal updates

City were at their ruthless best on Tuesday night as they thrashed AEK Athens 5-1 in the Champions League. That result was made all the more impressive thanks to the handful of changes Enzo Maresca made to his side, notably allowing Erling Haaland a rest.

Haaland is available again to face Villa and should start. However, forward Antoine Semenyo remains sidelined with a leg injury. City will make late decisions on Mateo Kovacic, Nico O'Reilly and Matheus Nunes before the game. The trio are all doubts having missed the midweek win.

As for Villa, they have yet to win at home in the Premier League this season. However, they were victorious over Viking on home soil in the Champions League on Wednesday night. Unai Emery could call on former Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho this afternoon, albeit he has not made a Premier League matchday squad since the beginning of September.
