K-League All Stars vs City highlights and Maresca reaction

Rayan Ait-Nouri opened the scoring after he curled in a strike following great work from Antoine Semenyo on the right-hand side. It took just three minutes for the home team to equalise as Kim Dae-Won caught out Gianluigi Donnarumma at his near post.

On 20 minutes, Semenyo produced a magnificent back heel for Tijjani Reijnders to fire home and restore the advantage. Semenyo then played a part in the third as his strike was parried and Divin Mubama taps home.

In the second half, changes ruined the flow of the game. Jeremy Monga had a goal ruled out for handball while Savinho was denied by the woodwork.

Nottingham Forest and Galatasaray are among the clubs to have shown interest in Reijnders and City have not ruled out a sale. Asked if he wanted to keep Reijnders, Maresca only went as far as saying that he was happy with his effort on the tour.

"He's a player that is here with us," he said. "The players that are with us until the day that they aren't with us, it's my duty to do the best for them. I'm happy with his performance and he's working good since he came back from his holiday. At the moment I'm very happy with him."

Sitting there sweating as more than half of the stadium capacity opted for government advice to stay cool and avoid outdoors, there didn't look many more punishing situations than being stuck inside a giant furry head. That will be one of the stranger intros to a football match for the whole season, but then this will be one of the strangest games. The extreme heat made it difficult for any football match to be played, and as such one barely broke out.

Josko Gvardiol summed up the feelings of his players, spending most times between play on his haunches or resting on his teammates as he waited for the half-time whistle that would mean he could go and sit in an ice bath and be anywhere else than outside in that heat.
