Kim Hellberg's Boro transfer assurance and belief in recruitment staff

With less than four weeks remaining until the start of the new season, Boro have so far signed only two players. There remains a lot of work to be done on the recruitment front.

Boro are working hard to pursue a number of active deals, with hopes of more breakthroughs soon. But patience is key, as Boro wait for their top targets.

And while the wait is understandably an uncomfortable one for many Boro fans, who can see the squad is not yet where it needs to be for the new season, Hellberg insists he had faith in the recruitment team.

The Boro boss said: "I don't know how quickly we'll go but we're trying to get them in as quickly as possible. Steve, Neil, Kieran together with me and other people are working very, very hard to get the best solutions.

"Until they come, it's a way to give people opportunities to increase the depth of the squad in terms of giving them the opportunity to grow. It will be very exciting weeks coming up.

"We have a very good recruitment side here who work very hard. They're very good at bringing forward names who suit the way we want to play.

"There's good co-operation in terms of what type of profiles we're looking for. They're very good at their job and they're bringing forward a lot of good names.

"In football it's not always possible to get everyone but it will be interesting to see what happens."
