Joel Piroe transfer truth as Middlesbrough again linked with Leeds United star
TEAMtalk name Boro as one of five clubs they believe are keen on the 26-year-old,. although the Teessider have previously distanced themselves with a move for the striker.
Piroe is expected to be surplus to requirements at Elland Road, having fired Leeds into the Premier League in 2024/25 he managed just two starts as Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Noah Okafor and Lukas Nmecha were selected ahead of the former Swansea man last term.
He has one season left on his contract, with an option until 2028 and the report reckons he could be available for between £8m-10million.
They cite Rangers as one interested party, given the ownership links between the Ibrox outift and Leeds, and also name Birmingham City and Stoke, the last of which TeessideLive believes is unlikely.

Boro are also mentioned, having run out of goals at the worst time last season to miss out on promotion, both automatically and then in heart-breaking fashion through the play-offs.
The story claims a ‘long-standing interest’ in a player who won the Golden Boot the last time he played in the second tier, with Boro overly-reliant on Tommy Conway and Morgan Whittaker for goals. It is added no deals are imminent despite interest from his former club PSV.
Piroe has scored 73 goals in 179 Championship appearances in his career.
