The Magpies are set for a busy summer in the transfer window, both in terms of incomings and outgoings, and attention has already turned towards the rebuild after Sunday's final game of the season away at Fulham.
We already know Kieran Trippier and Emil Krafth will be leaving the club, while Aaron Ramsdale is set to return to Southampton after his loan spell and John Ruddy is also expected to leave on a free transfer.
Fabian Schar is holding contract talks this week ahead of a possible extension to his deal which expires at the end of the season and Anthony Gordon is expected to leave this summer. It means Newcastle will be busy replacing those players, never mind improving the current squad options.
The Magpies are expected to be in the market for a goalkeeper, full-back, midfielder, left-winger and a forward among potentially others. Follow all of the latest transfer news in the live blog below.

CommentsRoss Gregory21st May16:36 BSTNewcastle scout Real Betis trioAccording to Diario de Sevilla, Newcastle have scouted three Real Betis players over recent weeks as they continue to compile lists of targets ahead of the new season.
Abde Ezzalzouli is on that list. So, too, is striker Cucho Hernandez. But a new name that has been linked is central midfielder Sergi Altimira.
The 24-year-old has made 40 appearances in all competitions this season and has also been linked with RB Leipzig and Sporting CP. He is valued at €25-30m.
CommentsSean McCormick21st May14:55 BSTHayden Hackney alertNewcastle have monitored Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney for a while now. The Teessider is rated as one of the best prospects in the Championship and is destined to play in the Premier League.
That could still be with Boro after the sensational Spygate saga came out in their favour. Hackney, who has been injured for a few weeks, is now fit to play at Wembley on Saturday.
Should Boro lose, he is set to leave the club this summer with just 12 months left on his contract and Newcastle will be interested in making a move.
CommentsRoss Gregory21st May14:06 BSTBayern interested in Lewis HallBayern Munich are keeping tabs on Lewis Hall - while Man United are also being strongly linked with the player.
The German side's interest may be the most dangerous for Newcastle, however. While they are looking to tie up a deal for Anthony Gordon, and have previously asked about Tino Livramento, it is left-back Hall who has reportedly caught their eye after his Champions League exploits against Barcelona.

Wissa helped his country qualify for the World Cup for the first time since 1974 after they won through two play-off competitions following a second placed finish in the initial group stages of African qualifying.
The 29-year-old will hope to have a strong tournament after a difficult first season at Newcastle United, having been named in Sébastien Desabre's 26-man squad to compete in the USA, Mexico and Canada.
But their preparations have had to change amid a growing outbreak of Ebola in the country. The World Health Organisation has called the outbreak a "public health emergency of international concern" but announced that it was not a pandemic level.
Les Léopards had been due to meet fans at a training camp in the country's capital city, Kinshasa, before taking on Denmark and Chile in pre-tournament friendlies in Belgium and Spain. That training camp has now been moved to Belgium to mitigate any risk of the outbreak affecting the playing squad.

CommentsRoss Gregory21st May10:44 BSTBazoumana Toure links continueNewcastle are reportedly joining a host of Premier League clubs expressing an interest in signing Hoffenheim star Bazoumana Toure.
According to Sky Germany reporter Patrick Berger, the Magpies are ‘very interested’ in signing the 20-year-old forward, as are Europa League winners Aston Villa.
Liverpool, Manchester United and Brighton are also mentioned in the report as showing an interest in Toure, who is said to be valued at around €50million (£43million).

CommentsSean McCormick21st May10:30 BSTEngland World Cup squad: Newcastle chancesThomas Tuchel will name his 26-man World Cup squad on Friday morning and a number of Newcastle players will be sweating on their place in the squad.
Despite not featuring in any of Newcastle's last five matches, Anthony Gordon is expected to be named in the Three Lions' squad. Defender Dan Burn has been selected in every one of Tuchel's squads and has a good chance of being selected, despite heavy competition in the centre-half position.
Lewis Hall is also expected to be named in the squad as a left-back, with Tino Livramento hopeful a recent injury lay-off will not affect his selection at right-back.
Harvey Barnes featured in March's friendlies and is ending the season well but he may be up against it when it comes to being selected above a plethora of other wide options at England's disposal.
Goalkeepers Nick Pope and Aaron Ramsdale have both earned call-ups to England squads this season but it feels like both have a massive outside chance of being picked above Jordan Pickford, Dean Henderson and James Trafford.
Here is how Betfair rates the chances of Newcastle's players being selected in tomorrow's squad.
World Cup Squad – England Goalkeepers
World Cup Squad - England Defenders
Lewis Hall 3/10
Tino Livramento 4/7
World Cup Squad - England Midfielders
Jacob Ramsey 30/1
England World Cup Squad - England Forwards
Anthony Gordon 1/14
Harvey Barnes 6/1
CommentsSean McCormick21st May10:02 BSTNewcastle a 'logical move' for Jarrod BowenThat is according to former Aston Villa and Sunderland striker Darren Bent, who has been weighing up the West Ham captain's next move in the wake of a potential relegation from the Premier League this weekend.
He told talkSPORT:
Chronicle Live verdict: Bowen would undoubtedly improve Newcastle on the right-wing but the cost involved to bring him to the club on a permanent basis, and given the fact he turns 30 at the end of this year, goes against the age profile of player we are expecting the Magpies to target this summer. It would have to a creative move - perhaps a loan - or a huge exception made to the planned process in the summer market. If Yoane Wissa's struggles are anything to go by, Newcastle may be guarded about making another exception to that this summer.
