Saturday’s victory at Sheffield United brought an end to the Canaries’ wait for an away win in the Championship, and they will now look to carry that momentum into their return to home soil. Victory would make it back-to-back league wins for the first time this season.

They face a Birmingham City side unbeaten in their opening five league outings, although four of those have ended in draws, the most recent a 2-2 ‘desmond’ with Midlands rivals Wolves on Sunday.

The Blues got the better of Norwich twice under Clement’s watch last term, so the Belgian will be keen to come out on top this time around ahead of a tough-looking trip to Middlesbrough at the weekend.

He confirmed that the same squad on duty at Bramall Lane are all fit and available again for the latest test. Paris Maghoma returned to the matchday squad at the weekend and is ready to take minutes following his minor calf injury.

Oscar Schwartau dropped out of the 20-man selection entirely in Yorkshire, but it was confirmed post-match that his absence was not injury-related, but simply a decision to keep the squad fresh.

That selection headache will only increase as Jovon Makama closes in on a return. The striker is back in team training after a lengthy spell on the sidelines following two separate foot injuries.

Gabe Forsyth (knee) has also returned to competitive action with the Under-21s for the first time in more than 18 months and will continue his rehabilitation with the development side.

Mirko Topic (ACL) has been out since last November but has now resumed running on the grass as he continues his recovery. A return to team training is the next step for the midfielder, while Lucien Mahovo (ankle) remains unavailable until late autumn and Ali Ahmed (ACL) is expected to miss the majority of the season.

Chris Davies' side travel to Norfolk seeking a second Championship win of the season, with their only other success coming on the road at Wrexham. However, Carrow Road hasn't traditionally been a happy hunting ground for the Blues, with last season's win ending a wait for victory that stretched back to 2002.

Should they make it successive wins, they will need to do so without key man Jhon Solis and fellow midfielders Max Bird, Taylor Gardner-Hickman and Marc Leonard, who are all in the treatment room. Demarai Gray has also been struggling with discomfort in his right shoulder and left the pitch early against Wolves feeling dazed.
