Norwich City Q&A with Connor Southwell

Eastern Daily Press · By Connor Southwell

Kenny McLean's new contract continues Norwich City's preparations for next season as Philippe Clement seeks to build on his impressive impact at Carrow Road.

It's understood the Scottish international has agreed a new two-year deal with the Canaries that will see him reach a decade in yellow and green. McLean recently surpassed 300 games and was the player of the season.

It has been nearly three weeks since the end of City's campaign at the MKM Stadium and the squad have ended their mini training camp led by Clement which was designed to improve their fitness heading into the summer.

That involved some games of paddle in the city as well as training on Wells beach, but now they will enjoy their extended break before returning to Colney at the end of next month.

Focus will now shift on recruitment, which is expected to intensify after the conclusion of leagues around Europe this weekend. City will learn the full make-up of next season's Championship, which will include either Tottenham or West Ham United.

Southampton's expulsion from this weekend's play-off final means they are looking ahead to another campaign in the second tier, adding to the growing sense that next season could be more competitive for those hoping to get out of the division.

City are hoping to add a right winger, central midfielder and left sided defensive options this summer before any departures. Do you feel they need to sign players in any other positions? Which position would you allocate the most funds to this summer?

Who could be at risk in the coming months? Will the likes of Amankwah Forson, Matej Jurasek, Jakov Medic and Kvistgaarden remain as part of Clement's squad?

This is your debate, not ours. You set the agenda.
