Stoke Sentinel · James Pallatt

Stoke City’s Syd Agina has had his loan transfer to Forest Green Rovers cut short.

The 19-year-old defender has now joined another National League club, agreeing a loan deal until November 1 with Tamworth.

Agina had joined Forest Green Rovers on loan in July, with the deal expected to run until January.

He made four league starts during his spell at The New Lawn.

The end of his loan comes a day after Robbie Savage left his role as manager of Forest Green to take charge of Peterborough United.

A Stoke statement read: “Stoke City under-21s defender Syd Agina has joined teammate Gabriel Kelly in joining National League side Tamworth on loan.

“The 19-year-old full back, who won his maiden senior cap for Kenya in the summer, played four times for Forest Green Rovers in the 26/27 campaign’s opening month, and has now switched to the Lambs until November 1.

“Tamworth face a trip to Hartlepool United this afternoon as Andy Peaks’ side seek to build on a 2-0 win against Sutton United in midweek, a fixture in which Kelly made his senior debut as a second-half substitute.”
