Renée Hector confirms Watford Women fitness boost

Watford Observer · By Jak Netting

After enjoying a boost against Leicester City in the Subway Players' Cup last weekend, capping off a 2-2 draw with a penalty shootout win, Watford will now search for their first league win of the season.

They host Durham, who have not picked up a single point this term, at Vicarage Road on Sunday, looking to build on the positive momentum.

Hector revealed that they will look to do so with another boost, in the form of a positive team news update.

Speaking on Thursday, Hector confirmed that a trio are all back and ready for selection ahead of the test against Durham.

"We're probably in a more positive light, we've probably got a few more players back available.

"Saoirse Noonan, Coral-Jade Haines and Anna Filbey are available for selection, which is really positive.

"Yeah, we've had a little bit of a tricky start in terms of availability over the past few weeks. So yeah, it's really nice to have everybody back fit and available."

Haines and Filbey both came on in the Golden Girls' last game, both coming on in the 60th minute, while Noonan has not featured since late September. The trio's return will be a big boost for Watford.
