Taking to social media, the team at the popular chippy shared an image of the Aston Villa midfielder posing with a staff member, adding: "Our John McGinn in Old Saltys for our famous fish and chips." The Tartan Army favourite, who scored Scotland’s first, and sadly only, goal of the World Cup against Haiti this summer, appeared to be relaxing ahead of a return to English Premier League action later this summer. He joins up with his Villa colleagues today, and while it remains to be seen if he is in action at Bescot Stadium tomorrow against Real Socieadad, it's more likely he will figure against Indonesia All Stars on Saturday.
