Fabian Hurzeler has revealed why he is joining the media ranks for the World Cup finals this summer.

The Albion head coach has joined talkSPORT’s team for the summer tournament.

He was announced as part of a line-up which also includes former France midfielder Emmanuel Petit, current Everton manager David Moyes and ex-England right-back Kyle Walker.

Hurzeler will keep close tabs on a tournament in which he hopes to see his Albion striker Danny Welbeck take part.

The Seagulls boss said: “I really appreciate the media here.

“The media work, the journalists, how respectfully they treat me and the club.

“And I think also, as a German manager, as a German coach, I really want to adapt to the culture here, and I want to give something back.

“I feel it should be a give and a get.

“They played a great qualification towards the World Cup and I wish you all the best.

“In my heart, I carry a lot of countries with me, but I just want the best team to win.”
