According to a report by Football Lowdown, the Robins are keen on signing the attacker, while journalist Alan Nixon also has reported that Huddersfield are ‘willing to sanction’ an exit for the former Luton Town man this summer.

The 23-year-old impressed during the second half of the 2025/26 season on loan at Wigan Athletic in League One having struggled to impress at the Terriers, scoring just nine goals in 42 games since he arrived in January 2025. But Huddersfield are thought to want to recoup the £3m they spend on him.

Taylor, 23, had previously made 22 appearances in the Championship for Luton and Peterborough combined, failing to score a single goal. But it is reported that Taylor is ‘one of the first names’ on new Bristol City boss Michael Skubala’s transfer wish list.

The Robins are needing reinforcements in attacking areas after the departure of Sinclair Armstrong, and with Sam Bell out of contract, leaving just Emil Riis as a striker at the club at the moment.

Another area where Skubala's men need to strengthen is in goal, with Radek Vitek having returned to Manchester United after his successful loan at Ashton Gate. But it is being reported that the Czech goalkeeper is on the radar of a number of clubs this summer as he doesn't want to sit on the bench.

@UtdFrenzy has reported that newly promoted Ipswich Town are one of the sides keen on the goalkeeper, as well as relegated Wolves, as well as Bristol City.
