Ipswich Town have made a solid start to life back in the top tier, claiming six points from their opening five games to sit 11th in the table.

Gary O'Neil's men are still rated third favourites for the drop among most bookies (5/4), ahead of fellow newly-promoted sides Coventry City (4/7) and Hull City (4/5), the latter having already put eight points on the board.

But who else do the Blues stand the best chance of finishing above according to the odds-makers?

Manchester City are now fourth favourites, their odds sliced to 13/8, following last week's bombshell news they have been found guilty of more than 100 charges of financial rule breaking over a nine-year period . With an appeal having been lodged, it's still not clear what/when their punishment will be - a points deduction that guarantees relegation a real possibility.

There are then three more teams whose relegation odds are 5/1 or shorter. They are Crystal Palace (5/2), Fulham (16/5) and Sunderland (5/1). Everyone else is priced at 10/1 or longer.

Palace and Fulham are in big transitional moments under respective new bosses Pierre Sage and Alvaro Arbeloa. Both Palace and Sunderland are also juggling European football.

Ipswich's two wins so far this season have come against Sunderland (2-1 at home) and Crystal Palace (3-2 away), while their next game is at home to Fulham on Saturday (3pm ko).

Seven of Ipswich's next eight games come against teams who the bookies have among the top 10 of relegation favourites - Fulham (H), Man City (A), Nottingham Forest (H), Hull (A), Bournemouth (H), Tottenham (A) and Coventry (A) - the outlier being a home game against Aston Villa on Saturday, November 28.
