# Leicester City prospect Maxwell Adedeji snapped up by Tottenham

Leicester City prospect Maxwell Adedeji is reported to have joined Tottenham’s development squad.

The 18-year-old Foxes’ centre-back has been capped by Finland Under-17s but also qualifies for England and Nigeria.

According to a Spurs youth team insider with over 130k followers, Lilywhite Rose, the north London club have completed the signing of left-footed defender and claim that he’s already made his unofficial debut for the club, playing the second half of the U-21s pre-season opener against National League South side Ebbsfleet United on Saturday afternoon.

There are no details of any fee or whether Leicester will get compensation for the player.

During his time at Leicester’s academy he represented the club’s Under-18s in the league, FA Youth Cup and Premier League Cup, scoring six goals and providing two assists in 42 appearances.

The teenager previously spent time in the academy systems of Southampton, Chelsea and Arsenal before joining the King Power Stadium.
