That’s the view of fellow League One owner Darragh MacAnthony who insists the newly relegated Foxes are a “massive” club with the best training facilities in Europe. The Peterborough United chairman believes City are “primed” for a sale right now ahead of what he says will be a hugely successful season back in the third tier of English football. Interviewed on talkSPORT, it was put to MacAnthony that Leicester’s owners King Power are looking to sell the club. Presenter and chief football correspondent Alex Crook said: “The ownership group have come under fire in wake of back-to-back relegations but it has only been ten years since they defied odds of 5000-1 to win the Premier League title. They have been FA Cup winners since then and European quarter finalists. Where’s it all gone so badly wrong for King Power and is now the right time to get out? “I feel sorry for the son who owns it, and obviously the personal tragedy probably hasn’t helped over the years,” said MacAnthony. “His dad was a big guiding light and everything. I’m sure he wants to sell because he’s been hammered after the back-to-back relegations, but everyone in football has got a short memory. “What Leicester have done over the last ten years has been incredible and I ask anyone to go and visit the Leicester training ground because it’s the best training ground I have seen in Europe. I mean, unbelievable. I think they spent £100million on it. “I would also say to the guy who owns it that is looking to sell, what he’s done for Leicester is incredible. Regardless of being back in League One, that’s football.” Asked if the owner deserves the stick he’s getting from the fans, he said: “Every owner deserves stick when you fail. Every owner fails, by the way, that’s just par for the course. It doesn’t matter whether you are Man United or Peterborough United, you are going to fail during a period of ownership. I have been an owner for 20 years and we have won promotions, cups, we’ve had relegations, we’ve succeeded and we’ve failed. That’s the beauty of our game. You’re not guaranteed to win. “I know a lot of Americans think you’re guaranteed to win when you buy a football club, but it doesn’t work that way.
