# Erling Haaland gets fresh offer as Real Madrid continue cunning transfer tactics

The Brazilian attacker shared snaps from his holiday on social media, alongside American actor Terry Crews. Haaland was sent an invite by Vini in the caption, who said: "We are waiting for you @erling."

The Real star is spending his off-season in Rio de Janeiro, having visited the Christ the Redeemer statue, taken part in a workout with Crews and toured his trophy room. But despite being away from La Liga preparations, Vini is clearly still working hard for his club with more cunning tactics to try and lure Haaland away from City.

The pair met in the round-of-16 at the World Cup this summer, with the Norwegian striker scoring a brace to beat Brazil 2-1. They embraced one another after the game, sparking speculation that Haaland would become Vini's teammate in the future.

The Norway international has been linked with Real on many occasions, with former club presidential nominee Enrique Riquelme displaying a 'Haaland 9' jersey during his electoral campaign. At the time, Riquelme said: "He has a release clause and would like to join Real Madrid. If I become president, he will play for Real Madrid."

Florentino Perez retained the role of president and Haaland's father, Alf-Inge, shared a statement downplaying the rumours alongside his agent Rafaela Pimenta. They said: "All very entertaining but not true. We wish all the best for both candidates in the Real Madrid elections."

City also threatened legal proceedings over the transfer claim as a club spokesperson commented: "The stories which have emerged from Spain regarding the future of Erling Haaland are untrue. There is no chance of this happening and there is no contractual clause to enable it.

"We are considering legal action for the use of our player image in this context."

Haaland is contracted at the Etihad Stadium until 2034 and told ESPN that he is committed to City. He said: "I’m super happy and I’m looking forward to what’s next because I think it’s exciting times for City as a club and also me as a player. I’m looking forward to continuing with City."
