That sell-on fee is understood to have been 20%, meaning Boro will be due a big cut of whatever fee Villa agree to sell for, if that is what they decide to do. The size of Boro's clause means Villa are wanting a sizable fee for Rogers, with suggestions they could demand as much as £100m. That would be great news for Boro, who would net £20m in such a deal. And a good World Cup with England will no doubt massively help the chances of at least one club viewing that fee as worth meeting.
