Rogers is part of the England squad at this summer's World Cup and therefore won't resolve his club future for some time yet. But a number of clubs are showing interest.

Arsenal are said to have made the ex-Boro star their primary summer transfer target, as Mikel Arteta looks to build on their Premier League win, having discussed needing to go to the next level after their Champions League final loss to PSG.

The French giants are another side credited with interest in the dynamic forward, while former Boro star Andy Townsend has suggested a good World Cup could even see the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona enter the race.

Townsend told OLBG: “I honestly think he's the sort of player who could go and play for absolutely anyone. He could go to Barcelona, to Real Madrid, you name it, because there aren't many that can do that.

“It wasn't his best season personally for Aston Villa, but he was still very effective. Rogers has that very rare ability that when he picks the ball up at maybe even ten or fifteen yards inside his own half, he can travel to the edge of the opposite eighteen-yard box so fast.

“I mean, he actually runs faster with the ball at his feet than he does without it. He travels so well with the ball. If he can improve that decision making at the edge of the box, and his own finishing, which I think he will do, then I think he could go anywhere.

“I think what's going to define Morgan's summer is obviously what goes on with England. Clearly Thomas Tuchel sees the talent that he's got.

“If he does that this summer, then it would be very hard for Villa to turn down extremely big numbers. Rogers to PSG? Being part of something like that with a lot of young players would be exciting.

“That team can stay together for at least another two or three years, so to go and be part of that would be a great move.”

It all makes for good news for Boro, who included a sell-on fee clause in the deal with Villa, when selling him back in January 2015.

That sell-on fee is understood to have been 20%, meaning Boro will be due a big cut of whatever fee Villa agree to sell for, if that is what they decide to do.

The size of Boro's clause means Villa are wanting a sizable fee for Rogers, with suggestions they could demand as much as £100m.

That would be great news for Boro, who would net £20m in such a deal. And a good World Cup with England will no doubt massively help the chances of at least one club viewing that fee as worth meeting.

The new Sky Glass Air is currently £21 a month with everything included for a 43-inch TV.

Middlesbrough are preparing for a big summer as they look to rebuild from the heartarche of missing out on promotion to the Premier League.
