The Championship club confirmed that long-serving right-back, Danny McNamara, will depart The Den after over a decade of service in SE16, as will Joe Bryan, Harding and Massimo Luongo following the expiration of their contracts at the end of next month.

29-year-old Harding joined Argyle on loan on deadline day and featured 15 times in all competitions for the Pilgrims, 13 of them being starts. The right-sided defender played most of his 15 games for Argyle at left-back as his experience came in useful for the Pilgrims in their play-off push and in the dressing room.

"Wes Harding in January when his situation at Millwall was what it was, he couldn't have wanted to play for this football club more, and we want as many guys like that as possible," Tom Cleverley had previously said of Harding, as well as fellow loanees Alex Mitchell and Owen Dale who he is keen to bring back to Home Park for next season.

"So, yes, we have got the here and now to focus on but Wes is a player that we will be interested in seeing more of. We have loved working with all three of those guys, they have loved playing for Argyle. Can we marry up the two next season? Let’s hope so.”
