The striker enjoyed a sensational campaign for the Swans, scoring 25 goals in all competitions and establishing himself as one of the Championship's most coveted forwards.

His form has inevitably attracted interest, with reports linking him to clubs across Europe and England, while Swansea have already moved to protect their prized asset by handing him a new contract until 2030.

Indeed, even in January, there were clubs believed to be keeping tabs, including West Ham United.

The interest back then prompted Swansea to slap a £15m price tag on his head, but having tied the striker down to a new and improved long-term deal, it will surely take an awful lot more to prise him away now.

Clubs here and abroad have also been keeping an eye on developments. Portuguese giants Benfica had previously held initial conversations over his availability, but it's understood their interest hasn't gone any further at this stage.

Toulouse and Brighton have also been mentioned as possible suitors, while reports in Slovenia have suggested Swansea could demand as much as €30million (£25.3m) for their star striker.

The 24-year-old is currently away with Slovenia ahead of friendly matches against Cyprus and Croatia, and was asked directly about his future by Slovenian newspaper Dnevnik.

For now, Vipotnik says transfer talk is not occupying his thoughts.

"I've taken a nice break from it all," he said.

"I've been on holiday in warm places and have forgotten everything else. Now it's the national team's turn, and then we'll see.

"It was a long season with a lot of matches. I had a few days off and was able to recharge my batteries a bit, and now I'm back in action. It's always nice to come home."

Interest in the Swansea frontman has continued to gather pace following his prolific season in south Wales.

Asked specifically about the possibility of taking the next step in his career and moving to the Premier League, Vipotnik made it clear the ambition is there.

"The desire is definitely there, but a lot of things would have to come together," he said.

"For now, I'm really happy at Swansea. We'll see what happens in the summer."

The comments are unlikely to calm speculation surrounding the striker, who has seen his stock rise dramatically over the past 12 months.

When Vipotnik arrived in Swansea from Bordeaux in 2024 there were high hopes he could develop into a leading Championship striker, but few could have predicted the impact he would make under Vitor Matos this season.

His goals helped Swansea mount a push towards the play-off places and earned him widespread recognition as one of the division's standout performers.

Despite the transfer interest, Swansea remain in a strong position.

The club tied Vipotnik down to a new long-term deal earlier this year and have publicly stated they have no desire to lose one of their most valuable assets.
