Aston Villa will need to move fast if they want to secure £39m winger transfer

The left-winger is a target for a number of clubs, including Manchester United, but it is AS Roma who look to have stolen a march on all competitors with a £39m interest lodged with the Hammers.

According to reports in Italy, they are closing in on a deal, but the Hammers are thought to be holding out for a fee closer to £50m.

Villa have been tipped to join the race for Summerville after the news that Morgan Rogers is on his way to Chelsea after a deal for £117m was verbally agreed.

Villa will be looking for a replacement for Rogers, and Summerville is one of the names that has been mentioned by The Athletic as a player they have an interest in.

A move to Chelsea for Rogers is set to be wrapped up imminently, with a medical scheduled for Monday.

Summerville and Paris Saint-Germain’s Ibrahim Mbaye are believed to be the two stars Villa are eying to sign. They have already wrapped up the arrivals of Switzerland World Cup star Johan Manzambi and an announcement is imminent for the capture of Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder and past United target Joao Gomes.
