The Italian came in for just his second start in Cherries colours for the game against AC Milan on Thursday night, which Bournemouth won 3-0.

It was Di Gregorio's fifth consecutive clean sheet against Milan in the league and Europa League after his time with Juventus, although he did concede twice in a 2-1 defeat in January 2025 in the Italian Super Cup semi-final.

"So it seems it was a good decision without knowing it!"
