Albion have released footage of a special moment for Solly March amid increasing doubt about his future at the club.

The popular wideman was presented with a framed shirt to mark 300 appearances for the Seagulls.

He played the last half-hour of the 3-0 defeat against Manchester United and forced goalkeeper Senne Lammens into a decent save with a well-struck shot.

March is among the players out of contract this summer and has played a very limited part in the last two seasons due to a serious knee injury and associated issues.

He has earned praise for the way he has battled his way back more than once but he has been unable to play a significant part in the Premier League since April last year.

His future at the club is unclear with talkSPORT reporting he can leave this summer.

While that is true of any out-of-contract player, it appears highly possible the 31-year-old from Hailsham could be moving on.

Defender Adam Webster, who was ruled out this season by a knee injury, is expected to leave the club as a free agent and fans will also suspect they said farewell to Joel Veltman after the Manchester United game.

Supporters sang March’s name during his outing on Sunday and urged him to go for goal.

In changing room scenes released by the club, head coach Fabian Hurzeler told March: “Three hundred this game. A great achievement.

“I know also for you a really tough season but, similar to Webby (Webster), great character, you always fought back.

“You always were there for the team, for the club.

“Therefore, I think the club wants to give you a jersey.

“Three hundred games stands for your quality, for your work ethic, for what you give to the club.

“From my side, Solly, well done.”
