Luka Vuskovic has been told he needs to find a club where he will play on a regular basis.

The defender’s national team boss has high hopes for the 19-year-old, who is expected to start in the middle of a Croatia back three against England in Dallas tonight.

Croatia boss Zlatko Dalic sees the current Spurs man as a key player for the national team for the next 15 years.

Albion want the next stage of his development to be with them and have seen a £35 million bid turned down.

Vuskovic shone with Hamburg last season but is not part of Roberto De Zerbi’s current plans at Spurs.

Speaking ahead of the World Cup fixture, Dalic told a press conference: “He has had a great season, he has got a lot of potential.

“He is smart, he thinks in a difficult position. We will see what we can do with him against England.

“I believe that he will prove himself at the World Cup.

“For him, the most important thing is to find a club where he will continue to play, but Croatia has a great player in him for the next 15 years.”

Spurs have agreed a £52 million fee to take Jan Paul van Hecke from Albion.

The Argus have been advised that Vuskovic is keen to make the opposite move given the Premier League and European opportunities it would open up to him.
