Bristol City vs Wolves live updates

Bristol Post · Daniel Carter

It’s been just a few days since the Robins were last in action, with Saturday's trip to Bolton Wanderers one to remember for the City faithful. Skubala's side secured their first win since the international break and in five matches as Scott Twine and Sam Bell struck late to snatch the points.

For this afternoon's opponents, the weekend was also positive. Fresh off the back of a relatively routine win over Watford seven days prior, Wolves thrashed Cardiff City 3-0 at Molineux on Saturday afternoon, thanks to goals from Fer Lopez, Adam Armstrong and Lidislav Krejci.

A win over Wolves this evening would be City's first at Ashton Gate since September. Lose or draw, and the Robins' next chance to get back to winning ways in front of their home supporters will come when Norwich City visit BS3 on Saturday lunchtime.

When these two sides last met in south Bristol, the Robins were knocked out of the FA Cup as Wolves ran out 2-1 winners in January 2025. The last league meeting between these two sides saw tonight's visitors snatch the points late on, on their way to the Championship title nine years ago.

Skubala and his players will, no doubt, be eager to back up the weekend's away win with a first victory against Wolves since April 2017.
