Derby County injury news as John Eustace hopes for boost ahead of Burnley clash

Derby County head into the final game before the extended international break with plenty to think about.

Having picked up another injury but no points in last Saturday’s defeat to Birmingham City, the Rams go to Burnley at the weekend needing a positive result to ensure they don’t spend the next three weeks in a state of heightened anxiety.

While Henrik Meister is a doubt as he goes through the concussion protocols after being taken off against Blues, John Eustace could be boosted by the return of Rhian Brewster who is going through a similar process himself.

Derby did at least get Carlton Morris back for the Blues game.

Here’s the latest on the injury front:

The striker was forced off with a concussion inside 22 minutes in the Rams' Championship defeat to West Ham United and missed the losses to West Brom and Birmingham. Two weeks on Eustace will hope to have him available again.

Eustace said on Saturday: “He's having concussion protocols. We'll just have to see how he is. I've been speaking to him and he seems okay."

When he is ready the forward will go through the FA’s six-stage Graduated Return to Play programme.

The summer signing has a back injury and was left out of the defeat to West Ham United. He has now missed three games.

Has not played since picking up a heavy knock against Swansea, with Eustace saying: "Trav's going to be missing for probably 4 or 5 weeks. It's not as bad as what we first feared.” He should return after the international break.

The centre back is one month into a predicted three month absence.

The left back suffered a hamstring injury and has not played this season. He has not been named in the Rams’ EFL squad meaning he is out until least January.

Patrick Agyemang

Unlike Murkin Agyemang has been named in the EFL squad indicating he could be back sooner than expected. The American is recovering from an Achilles injury suffered in April.

Last week Eustace said he is hoping for a November/December return: “He's progressing really well, which is really good. He hasn't had any setbacks up to now and he's looking good.”
