That’s according to the number-crunchers at Opta who give City just a 1.1% chance of edging ahead of Middlesbrough into second place – even after Tuesday night’s 2-1 win at Wrexham.
Goals from Joe Gelhardt and Lewis Koumas drew Sergej Jakirovic’s team to within six points of Boro, albeit having played a game more, at the time of writing.
Millwall and Ipswich are sandwiched in between, with the Lions only a point behind the Teessiders, again having played 37 games.
However, the Tigers are 88.74% likely to finish in the top six, with, as things stand, fifth spot earning them a two-leg semi-final against the Tractor Boys.
Kieran McKenna's side have done the double over City this season, winning 1-0 at Portman Road last week and 2-0 at the MKM Stadium in November.
City are predicted to finish on 76 points, six clear of Wrexham who are tipped to edge out Southampton in sixth. Coventry City are 98% likely to go up.
As for the relegation battle it’s West Brom, Oxford and Sheffield United to go down, with the Baggies in 22nd on 49 points.
