Not for the first time this season, Leicester City failed to make their possession and chances created pay as they lost 2-1 to Stevenage in the Jersey Mike's Trophy.
Despite having all the ball - 72 per cent possession and 21 shots, the Foxes fell short against their League One rivals. Frustratingly, it's a story that has played out so many times under Russell Martin already.
City start well: they miss chances to go ahead, concede a soft goal and then are knocking on the door against 11 players behind the ball. Emil Riis halved the deficit but City couldn't find the missing touch to rescue something.
The games against Barnsley, MK Dons, Plymouth, Ipswich and Notts County have all followed a similar pattern. All of them have ultimately left a feeling of frustration at how the fixture has played out.
Post-match, Stevenage boss Alex Revell said that his side had to win "ugly" against Leicester. Right now, it feels like City are unable to do that, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but being the victim of clubs trying to beat them in that fashion is hindering them.

"You can't keep getting in there that much [and not be rewarded]," Martin told LeicestershireLive post-match. "I just have to keep giving the players belief, we have to commit big to the final action."
He added: "We have a lot of young players that are learning their trade and being in this situation in front of goal a lot, they've probably not been there a lot in their career. So we have to put them there and by the way, if they miss, keep putting them there.
"We're going to fail sometimes, but if you do, you have to go again and again. Tonight, we were relentless, they kept going and they didn't shy away. No-one went under. I think we're really unlucky not to win tonight."
