Arne Slot’s side are currently in fifth place and face a challenge to qualify for the Champions League for next season.

Liverpool already know they will be without Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson next season, with the duo confirming they will leave the club at the end of the campaign.

It remains to be seen what plans Liverpool have for the summer transfer window, with a host of players already being linked with moves to Anfield.

Here, the ECHO takes a look at some of the latest Liverpool transfer speculation that has emerged over the last 24 hours.

Liverpool have reportedly already held talks about the possibility of signing RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande. The Reds have been credited with an interest in signing Diomande, who is reported to be valued at around £87million.

According to Sport Bild, the Reds have already held meetings with Leipzig about the 19-year-old’s future, as has reigning Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain.

The report claims that Leipzig are determined to keep Diomande beyond this summer, and won’t entertain letting the forward leave the club unless a fee above their valuation is met.

Leipzig want to hand Diomande a new contract, but it has been stated that talks over an extension are on hold until the summer, with the teenager’s current deal running until 2030.

Bayern Munich director of sport Max Eberl has weighed in on speculation surrounding Michael Olise's future. Liverpool have been credited with an interest in signing Olise in recent months.

Olise has been linked with Liverpool ever since Salah announced that he would be leaving Anfield in the summer, with the former Crystal Palace star mentioned as a potential replacement.

Eberl has now responded to the noise surrounding Olise’s future with a clear message about the Bayern star.

"We have our bubble, we have confidence in our discussions, and we're letting everything that's happening around us bounce off us to some extent,” Eberl said, via Sport.de.

He added: "First of all, it's great that so many people want to talk about Michael Olise. That says, first of all, that we lured a very, very good player to FC Bayern a year and three-quarters ago."
