Head coach Oliver Glasner will want to see a response from his Nottingham Forest side when they take on Manchester City on the banks of the Trent.
Glasner pulled no punches with his post-match comments after last weekend’s 2-0 defeat to Brentford stretched the Reds’ winless run to five games. He pledged to implement changes and warned he was no longer prepared to “compromise” in a bid to oversee a turnaround in fortunes.
Fixing Forest’s home form is among the issues Glasner will need to address to get the club out of the relegation zone. They are yet to register a win or even score a goal at the City Ground so far this season.
Putting that right against City on Saturday (5.30pm kick-off) will be no easy task but the Reds might have some of their walking wounded available to bolster their cause. Below is a look at Forest’s injury state of play…

Injury: Muscle.
Potential return date: Saturday, November 7.
State of Play: After impressing in the 1-0 defeat to Arsenal, the midfielder will have been frustrated at missing the past two games with a muscle problem. He travelled to the capital with his teammates last weekend but was not risked against the Bees.
In his pre-match press conference last Thursday, Glasner indicated he expected Dominguez to be fit for the clash with City. He said: “Nicolas Dominguez is progressing very well but will train for the first time tomorrow (Friday, October 30) with the team. Let's see if the game is maybe a little bit too early for him but he should be fine and ready for Manchester City.”
Potential return date: Saturday, November 7.
State of play: Glasner could have a decision to make over the Brazilian this weekend. Jesus has not been involved since the domestic action resumed following the three-week international break and has been missed in that time.
The forward had looked bright from off the bench prior to his injury. Given Forest’s goalscoring woes, having him back would be a boost.
Glasner recently said there was a possibility Jesus would be available to face City. But given the Premier League pauses for another international window after this weekend, it might be the Reds exercise caution.
“He's on track, I would say,” Glasner said prior to Forest’s 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town. “If everything goes perfectly then he could return for the City game.
“It is whether it makes sense to take a risk for one game. For example, after City we then have two weeks off because it's an international break. Does it make sense to take this risk when we have two more weeks? But he's on track.”
Potential return date: Unknown.
State of play: It has been a long road back to being involved with his teammates for Savona. He has not played since January, having undergone knee surgery.
However, last week the defender took a significant step in his recovery when he was back on the grass for the first time. Glasner will continue to tread carefully with him and he still has some way to go before he makes his comeback in the Garibaldi.
“It was the best news at the beginning of the week that he can be partly integrated,” Glasner said last week. “But then you could also see the massive difference between individual rehab sessions and team training, because the second day he had to stop. He felt every single muscle because it’s completely different.
“But it’s great to have back and now it is to build him up after seven months out. We will have a friendly in the international break where he should get the first minutes.”
