Downes and Manning one yellow card away from ban as Boro and Wolves clashes loom

Daily Echo · By Alfie House

They must avoid another caution across the next five league fixtures until early December to prevent an automatic one-match ban for accumulation.

Saints take on Preston, Derby County, Sheffield United, Middlesbrough and Wolves in that time, with the latter two top-of-the-table clashes.

Cyle Larin is also approaching a suspension, having collected three cautions so far. James Bree and Nathan Wood have each been booked twice.

Cam Bragg, Caspar Jander, Divin Mubama, Finn Azaz, Keven Schlotterbeck, Kuryu Matsuki, Lewis Dobbin, Tom Fellows and Zach Abbott have one.

Getting five yellow cards in the first 19 matches of a Championship season triggers an automatic one-match ban, while 10 in 37 games is two fixtures.
