Aston Villa fans rush to get £40 retro shirt for £12.50

An extended payday sale has seen both retro jerseys reduced from £40 to £28 with the code VILLAPARK, but savvy shoppers can save more than £15 extra by combining this with another deal. After creating an account with TopCashback, new members will earn a £15 bonus when spending £15 or more, plus cashback at the Villa Store.

Together, this means the Villa shirts effectively cost £12.53 after cashback, saving £27.47 or roughly 69% from the non-sale price, including free standard delivery. However, the deal must be claimed before Aston Villa’s sale ends on Friday (October 9).

There are a couple of caveats to be aware of, though, as this deal is exclusively for new TopCashback members, while existing members will pay £27.53 after cashback. Also, the £15 welcome bonus can only be claimed once and cannot be used against both shirts.

Even so, both deals work out cheaper than rival retailers like Amazon and Sports Direct, where the ‘98 home shirt costs £39 and £39.99 respectively. This jersey was worn by players like Dwight Yorke and Dion Dublin in the 1997/98 season when the club reached the quarter-final of the UEFA Cup.

Aston Villa's 1998 Home or Away Shirt is available for £12.53 when shopping through TopCashback. By creating a free account, new members will bag a £15 sign-up bonus and cashback at the Aston Villa Store.

The home strip is designed in classic claret and blue complete with vintage AST Computer sponsor branding and the club crest from that era. The same details are found on the away strip that’s designed in sky blue, claret and white with a retro polo-style collar.

The TopCashback deal comes ahead of some crucial fixtures for the club, including their Premier League clash with Brentford on Saturday. Fourth-place Brentford are unbeaten in their opening five games, while Unai Emery’s side sit two places above the relegation zone on four points.

Villa will then host Fenerbahçe on Wednesday, October 14, when Fenerbahçe come to Villa Park in the Champions League. While Villa vs Brentford will not be broadcast in the UK, Villa vs Fenerbahçe will be live on TNT Sports from an 8pm kick-off.

Until then, here’s how to get an Aston Villa 1998 shirt for £12.53.
