“Of course, even me as a coach, you feel that the new lads have to adapt to the Premier League, to English football.

“I love it as a coach so far, but even I learn new things and details. But on the other side, we have to bring them so that they are able to learn and to adapt.”

Rose has spoken previously about discussing whether Di Gregorio is used as a cup keeper to keep him sharp while Djordje Petrovic holds the number one in the league.

He admitted that wasn’t a discussion that had taken place yet: “This is a conversation I'm going to do after we finish here!”

Rose praised the attitude and application of the group in training, as he expressed his confidence in the entire squad.

“I'm going to rotate because I'm really convinced about our squad and the quality, and every one of the lads shows so far in trainings that he wants to play,” he said.

“Even [vs Newcastle], I left Álvaro, Max Aarons and [Alex] Tothy at home. They didn't deserve it, but it is what it is.”
