The first half was a fantastic performance, but the equaliser came late once again and it’s now a bit of a trend.

As a manager, you've got to be careful you don't overemphasize that fact, because then it can get in the players' heads: ‘oh my God, we're winning, but there’s ten minutes to go, are we going to concede?’

It's just one of those things.

You're going to come under pressure late on at Newcastle, with 50,000 Geordies or whatever it is up there, they're one behind, they're going to be putting you under some pressure.

So, you expected what came really. There was always a chance you might concede and you've got to accept that and keep moving forward.

But overall, it was another excellent performance.

I think there were so many positives from the performance, and we're looking very good again, just carried on from the last couple of years, really.

Performances are good, high energy, pressing, loads of movement when we play. Outstanding players, the boy Alex Scott, he's just a fantastic footballer.

But all round, a really excellent performance again.

It’s been a solid start overall. There are no easy games. Let's be honest, Man City away, you think, well, probably no points. Everton at home, never easy, they never give in, you saw that against Man United at the weekend, but you think, well, maybe you have three points. Newcastle away, another tough game, maybe a point.

So, it's not been a disastrous start. With the football that Bournemouth have played, they could easily have had six or seven points on the board now.

We’re quickly onto the League Cup and that’s a competition that Bournemouth have an excellent chance of winning.

Lincoln City at home is not an easy game, though, and the way they play saw them walk away with the League One title.

They were direct, they got it forward, they didn't mess about, they didn't pass it at the back and play and play, and they got it forward.

That's what they did, and they were fantastic at doing that. They had an amazing season.

I've got memories of Lincoln. My first ever game as a manager was Lincoln away, and we got beat 9-0 in 1982, when I was caretaker boss at Bournemouth.

That was my first game as a manager in football. So, Lincoln always brings back memories.

I think personally I'd want to be going strong rather than rotating if I was Marco Rose. I wouldn’t want to find myself in trouble, in another game without a win.

If, after an hour, we could be a couple of goals in front, two or three up, then you can change your players. But I think I'd want to start with a good team because it's a cup that Bournemouth's got a chance to win.

We'll be one of the teams with a real chance of winning that this year, and to go to Wembley would be fantastic.

So, I'd want to be going for it.

I know we've got a lot of games, European games, but I’d want to get ahead in the game, and after an hour, if my best players can give us a lead, then you can start rotating.

That's what I would look to do, but it's obviously up to the manager. I wouldn't want to be starting with a poor team, then having to bring people on to try to get us out of trouble, and then you end up having a difficult night.

I’d want to get a win on the board before hosting Brentford in the league on Saturday.

They’re a really good team. I've been so impressed with Brentford. They've got pace, they're well organized.

Keith Andrews has done a fantastic job there as manager. It's a well-run club. They're now establishing themselves as a Premier League club.

It's been a brilliant story, a bit like Bournemouth in lots of ways, but it's amazing what they've achieved, they’ve got the new stadium.

Keith's done a great job there. He's a good guy, and it's good to see him doing so well there.

They're going to be dangerous, they have former Cherry Jaidon Antony and he's got great pace, and is a threat.

But they've got lots of options and they've got lots of pace and strength about them. They're a very, very good team.

But for Bournemouth, I like what the manager's doing with the team at the moment. I like the way he comes across.

He comes over well, tells it as it is, and he's got the team playing some real good stuff. I think that first win is not far away.
