Maisie Symonds has officially penned a new deal with Albion.

Symonds joined Albion in 2021 and made 74 appearances for the club before being named captain in August 2025.

Since then, the midfielder has made 103 total appearances for The Seagulls.

Speaking about the news, Women’s Head coach Dario Vidosic highlighted her importance to the squad.

Dario said: “Maisie has been an integral part of Brighton’s story in the WSL since she joined the club in January 2021.

“She is a massive influence both on and off the pitch and since becoming captain last season she has developed both as a player and as a person.

“We are thrilled that she is committing her long-term future and will be part of our vision to establish Brighton as one of the top four WSL clubs."

Speaking about the news, Maisie said: “I’m very happy.

“I feel so at home here. It’s the only club I’ve ever played for professionally and I feel I’ve grown so much over the last six years along with the club and the women’s team.

“It really felt like we are setting high standards for ourselves with what we've been building in the last two years.

“We are starting to reach our potential, and we only want to get better and better.”

Last season, Albion Women enjoyed an exciting FA Cup run which saw them thump Arsenal 0-2 in the quarter-final. They beat Liverpool in a dramatic 3-2 clash, but lost out in the final against Man City.

During their 2025/26 campaign the 23-year-old made 28 total appearances for Brighton.

She has also represented England at age group level up to under-21s.

Symonds was also called into the senior squad for the first time in March 2025 for two matches against Belgium.
