They continue to be linked with Bayer Leverkusen's Argentinian World Cup winner Exequiel Palacios, while today's rumours have suggested Jack Clarke - who scored yesterday's dramatic late winner - is of interest to Championship side Middlesbrough.
Anis Memeti was left out of the squad entirely yesterday, and has since been linked to Derby County.
“We're trying to sign a couple in the next ten days or however long is left in the window," O'Neil revealed at yesterday's post-match press conference. "So, we'll still get stronger.”

He added: “I don't know what the rest of the window is going to bring in terms of ins or outs, really. I'm sure there'll be some movement.
"Anis Mehmeti obviously misses out today and he's been excellent for me in pre-season. He's worked his socks off every day.
"It was a real tough call, that one, to have to make because I couldn't have asked any more of him.

“The unfortunate part of the job is that you have to upset people and disappoint people sometimes, but he's still right there with the lads at the end.
“It shows what the group's like, really. Anis is a top boy. I've loved working with him so far and I'm sure he'll have moments where he helps us.
“It just shows that everyone's in this together. Sub wins it for us, pressing phase with Abdoul (Ouattara) and Sindre (Walle Egeli) and Kasey (McAteer) all involved. It's never going to be the starting 11 that keeps us up.
“It's everybody in the squad and all the staff and the supporters that are all going to have to do everything to get every single point."
